A clean, green environment is better for everyone
Environment and climate
We’re working energetically to take care of our environmental and climatic responsibilities. That includes working closely with the Queensland Department of Environment and Resource Management to make sure our products are made and used according to best sustainability practices.
The wonder of BioDunder
Produced by our BioEthanol business, BioDunder is a by-product of the molasses fermentation process. By returning it to the field as a fertiliser, a unique recycling process is achieved. BioDunder is also:
- a source of potassium, reducing the need for potassium fertiliser imports
- handled in bulk, eliminating the need for plastic fertiliser packaging
- BFA certified for use on organic farms and FertCare accredited.
Nurturing the environment
Our Agricultural Services division provides our clients with a complete nutrition service that encompasses the latest environmental standards.
Minimising our impact
From a Cane Products perspective, we’re focussed on sustainable sugarcane production which minimises our environmental impact by limiting erosion, minimising chemical application and reducing farm run-off into key waterways and the Great Barrier Reef.
