Bernard Duignan

General Manager, New Zealand Sugar Company Limited

Bernard is responsible for the successful running of our Sweeteners business in New Zealand, including refining, marketing and distribution of a range of sugars under the iconic Chelsea brand, to both domestic and international markets.

Bernard’s early experience saw him working as an engineering advisor for the Ministry of Agriculture, followed by technical sales and product management roles at Fruitfed Supplies Limited.

He joined NZ Sugar in 1989 in a sales and marketing role, bringing a depth of knowledge and experience gained from 15 years in senior management. He was appointed to his current role in 2002.

Bernard has a Bachelor in Agricultural Science degree from Massey University.
